Planning and Statutory Requirments

Developments have increasing challenges in satisfying Planning and Statutory requirements, in particular relating to Flood Risk Assessments and Infrastructure Drainage, where restrictive Planning Conditions can be imposed.

T.A. Tompson have submitted Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy Reports for a broad range of Developments nationally.  Our Clients have been successful in obtaining the release of Planning Conditions, based on the merit of TA Tompson's submissions.

It is becoming common practice for Utility Services Authorities to impose restrictive requirements for connection to the sewerage and water infrastructure in the locality, on the basis of lack of capacity within their respective networks and the proclaimed environmental impact.  T.A. Tompson's have considerable experience in dealing with these matters and have successfully negotiated the removal or relaxation of restrictive conditions proposed by these Authorities.  This has resulted in significant savings for our Clients and averted the potential revocation of Developments.

Project Management

Extensive Contracts have been undertaken for many Private and Public Sector Clients, which has involved the management of the whole design team and the construction works, to a specifically allocated budget and specifically designed programme,

A prime example being projects for the Home Office.  These Projects were spread over a period of a few years and involved the complete range of Building and Services Operations, within occupied Establishments, were disruption was required to be minimal.  All projects were in excess of two million pounds and were completed within budget and ahead of programme.

Facilities Management

The Company provides Facilities Management services to Clients, by undertaking the preparation of asset registers, tender documents, selection of appropriate Contractors, schedules of Work for ‘Planned Preventative Maintenance’, administration and financial control of appointed Contractors to execute the Works.  The Company has recently provided this service for a leading Firm of International Lawyers, who specialise in Company and Business Law, for three large office blocks within the City of London.
